Episodes with high air pollution and large amounts of aeroallergens expose sensitive individuals to a health damaging cocktail atmospheric particles. Particulate matter (PM) affects the radiative balance dynamics, hence affecting concentrations pollutants. The aim study is estimate feedback between meteorology particles on using an extended version model WRF-Chem. extension, originally designed for PM dust, concerns common aeroallergens. We birch pollen episode coinciding event containing Saharan dust (late March early April 2014), results, records from Southern UK vertical profiles meteorological observations. During episode, increased were calculated over European continent, causing plumes transported towards UK. arrival these matched well lowest parts boundary layer demonstrate profile that favours long distance transport, while record shows types typically flower at another time. calculations show changes by ±30% in some cases up 100%. conditions favoured mechanisms changed transport
